I absolutely love the story a portrait can tell. I fell down the rabbit hole of different types to paint. Sadly I had a year in my life where I experienced a lot of loss and painting was a great way for me to deal with it. Over a decade the losses grew and I continued to paint for myself and did a few paintings for others.  I still love painting portraits (pets too) and they have evolved into life illustrations. Celebrations of memories and  friends; poems themselves. I love that it is not one subject in one style. That it’s an exploration of the soul to both the viewer and the painter. There’s still so many ideas I have waiting to take breath across a canvas.
