Zdravo! (Hello in Serbian) My name is Kasie Blagojevich. I was born and raised in South Jersey and love the adventure of travel.
I have a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Illustration from Moore College of Art Design. Originally a traditional artist, I love oils, clay and anything that gets my hands dirty. Experimenting with subject, matter, and mediums; I problem solve and fuel my curiosities.
Time spent with my nieces and nephews has inspired me to write again, breathing new life into my art and illustrations.
Sadly being a Mom isn’t in the cards for me, (I have been dubbed Grand SissyAunt tho) it’s part of the reason for the upcoming name change. A reminder that despite not having my own, my life has been blessed by so many amazing children. As much as we are here to guide them, they wind up teaching you so much more.
As adults we often forget what it’s like to be a kid always being told to grow up. Kids are our Peter Pans, and stories, well, they can live on forever, as a picture or a book.
As a kid I lived in a coloring book. Clay and dirt is just fun; throwing it is even better! (pottery joke) Before I got back into writing, I was an odd jobs kind-of artist. I worked in the restaurant business for years, recipes were the flavors to my palette. I apprenticed under an interior decorator, painting murals and making art that complimented the homes decor. When I was a kid in my father’s upholstery shop, I used to make fabric flowers from scraps; that past time was used by the interior decorator and inspired my research into being published. Whatever needs to be fixed around the house, I make it art, including my hedges. I tend to make bonsais out of all my plants, and name them (poor things). Art really is a way of life for me. I even designed this website, because why not learn new programs. I love computers! (hope that was convincing) Right now I’m all about the stories. Some of my favorite things are alliterations, puns, and humor. I like learning how to do different things with them, and who knows where it will take me. The possibilities are endless and I’m having fun on my journey.

Thank you! It was a pleasure meeting you.
